Hello, my name in Crystal. I'm 26 years old, and in the last eight years have undergone eight surgeries. At the moment, I am facing surgery number nine, which will be a complete and total hysterectomy. Because of my extensive medical history, I am unable to qualify for health coverage at work, independently or through any state/federal agencies. I have been seeking financial assitance through a wide variety of sources, and have been frustrated by the constant "pre-existing condition" clause that I run into. Even the high-risk health insurance offered through the state I live in has a pre-existing condition clause, which seems to defeat the purpose of high-risk coverage. I have sought out financial assistance programs from faith-based organizations, as well, and even they have pre-existing condition clauses. Is there anyone, anywhere, that is able to help me?
